Melania Tells Trump It's Over

CNN reports Melania has joined the chorus telling Trump it’s over and he lost.

Jared Kushner has approached Donald Trump to concede and Melania Trump advised the President to accept the loss

Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser, has approached the President about conceding the election, two sources told CNN Saturday.

And first lady Melania Trump has advised the President the time has come for him to accept the election loss, a separate source familiar with the conversations told CNN on Sunday.
Though the first lady has not publicly commented on the election, she has privately weighed in with her opinion, the source noted. “She has offered it, as she often does,” the source said.

I’m not so sure about Jared; Axios is reporting that he thinks Trump should keep fighting:

Kushner advises Trump to pursue “legal remedies” to the election

A source close to Jared Kushner said he has advised President Trump to pursue “legal remedies” to the election. A second source close to Kushner confirmed he had not advised Trump to concede.

But it’s a good bet that Melania has had enough and wants it over with. CNN has been calling his reaction “Trump's tantrum” which is just about right.

My bet is that Trump will end his presidency the way he’s conducted it all along: petulant, arms crossed, convinced he alone knows the truth and that all the experts are not only wrong but are conspiring against him, that the voters are so mean and unfair, and why can’t he have all the toys.

I predict that political psychology will shortly become a whole new PhD subspecialty.
