Received this e-mail from Jon Ossoff (D. GA) in support of Sara Gideon’s (D. ME) U.S. Senate campaign:
Democrat Sara Gideon’s race in Maine could determine control of the U.S. Senate.
Incumbent Republican Susan Collins’ approval rating has fallen by double digits since she voted to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court last year and only 34% of Maine voters approve of Donald Trump.
This is our chance to win in Maine and take back the Senate. So please:
Collins is vulnerable, but this race will be extremely difficult. Mitch McConnell and GOP Super Pacs will pour limitless millions into attacks on Sara.
But Sara can become Maine’s next United States Senator — I know she can — if we all step up for her when it counts.
And that’s right now, at the very start of her campaign.
The Senate is key!
Thanks as always,
