MA-Sen: DFA Keeps Up The Momentum For Sen. Ed Markey (D) To Win His Primary On September 1st

2 min read

Received this e-mail today from Democracy for America in support of U.S. Senator Ed Markey’s (D. MA) re-election campaign:

When I first reached out last week to share DFA’s endorsement of Ed Markey, the response was overwhelming. So many of you pitched in to send this progressive champion back to the U.S. Senate.

But Rep. Joe Kennedy III has the corporate establishment rallying behind him in the final week of this primary, and Ed is counting on one last big surge of grassroots support to fuel GOTV calls, targeted internet ads, digital organizing, and even in-person mobilization to win this race.

Will you split a contribution between Ed Markey’s campaign and DFA today? With one week left in the Massachusetts primary, every contribution will make a difference.

Ed is the kind of progressive fighter we need more of in the U.S. Senate.

He wrote the only major climate legislation to pass a house of Congress, co-authored the Green New Deal with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and is leading the fight with Senators Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris to send every American a $2,000 stimulus check each month in the middle of this pandemic.

Ed’s father was a union leader who taught him real progressive champions aren’t defined by their last name, but by the people and values they fight for.

Ed Markey has never forgotten where he came from. And that’s why we need to keep him in the U.S. Senate. So will you pitch in whatever you can here to re-elect Ed?

Thanks for having Ed’s back in this fight.
