LOLGOP and I have a weekly podcast called “The Sit and Spin Room with LOLGOP & Eclectablog”. For next week’s episode, we are traveling to Flint, Michigan to do some reporting on the ongoing Flint Water Crisis. While we’re there, we’ll be interviewing activists Melissa Mays and Nayyirah Shariff about their transcendent work. We’ll also be talking to Congressman Dan Kildee about his advocacy and to discuss why Genesee County, where Flint is, went for Donald Trump in last year’s election.
We’re doing some crowdsourcing here and would like your input about what types of things we should be asking about. Maybe things like whether or not the mayor of Flint should be taken to task for resuming water shut-offs in the beleaguered city. Please make your suggestions for things you’d like to know about in the comments.
Also, if you will be in the southeastern Michigan area on May 12th, please consider coming to our annual fundraising party. We will be doing a live recording of our podcast and have some very special guests lined up. You’ll be supporting a worthy cause and will score a limited edition Eclectagrog beer glass to take home, too. Click HERE for details.
