Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D. CT) in support of Amy McGrath’s (D. KY) U.S. Senate campaign:

I’ll be blunt: The events of the past few months make it very clear that it’s never been more important for Democrats to take back the Senate. Election experts at the Cook Political Report just said the race for Senate control is at nearly “50-50 odds,” and one of the most critical contests is in Kentucky, where the latest poll shows that Amy McGrath (D) is statistically tied with Mitch McConnell.

Has there ever been a moment when the danger Mitch McConnell poses to our nation has been more obvious? His three years of court-packing with unqualified and inexperienced nominees. His legislative-pushing and crafting with “blind handouts” to big companies – including potentially the Trump businesses. We need Amy McGrath representing the state of Kentucky. She has the qualifications and the character to match the challenge we face.
