Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senator Jon Tester (D. MT) in support of Amy McGrath’s (D. KY) U.S. Senate campaign:

This is huge —

Democratic challenger Amy McGrath outraised Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell by more than $5 million in the Kentucky Senate race.

Now’s our chance to take the gavel out of McConnell’s hand and send him home for good.

Amy is a retired Marine fighter pilot who knows how to win tough fights. But this will be one of the most competitive Senate races in history and we have to make sure Amy has the resources she needs to win.

If you’re financially able, can you donate $10 or more to help Amy fight back against Mitch McConnell’s attacks as Democrats work to take back the Senate?

McConnell has done nothing but turn the Senate into a legislative graveyard. Time and again, he chooses his wealthy friends over the people he was elected to serve. He’s got to go.

Democrats only need to flip four seats to take back the Senate — and Republicans are on defense in several key races like Arizona, Maine, North Carolina, and even Kentucky.

But I know McConnell has shady tricks up his sleeve and an endless supply of cash from his radical donors. He’ll do whatever it takes to keep his grip on power. So, I’m asking:

Will you split a donation between Amy’s campaign and our work to take back the Senate today to help us send Mitch McConnell packing? I know this is a difficult time, so please only pitch in if you can afford to give.

Thanks for anything you’re able to give. When we take back the Senate in November, it will be because of folks like you stepping up in moments like these.

— Jon

P.S. If you can’t afford to donate right now, that’s okay. Too many folks are facing financial hardship right now, and the most important thing you can do is to take care of yourself and your loved ones.
