Received this e-mail yesterday from the Giffords PAC in support of Amy McGrath’s (D. KY) U.S. Senate campaign:

We are proud to endorse Lt. Colonel Amy McGrath who is running for US Senate in Kentucky against Mitch McConnell.

Amy McGrath is a veteran and public servant who has spent her life protecting Americans.

Mitch McConnell is responsible for blocking the bipartisan background check bill in the Senate. Amy is running to replace his failed leadership and send a clear message: it’s time for the Senate to step up and pass laws that will save lives.

2020 is the year that we can elect a gun safety majority in the Senate — we only need to flip three or four seats to do it. So our job is to elect Amy and kick out Mitch, and your support would go a long way.

If you are able, will you chip in $3 to help us elect Amy McGrath for Senate, and other gun safety candidates in 2020? Your support will go a long way towards electing a gun safety majority this year.

Amy has a tough road ahead. Mitch McConnell has the backing of powerful special interest groups and the gun lobby, but we know that more Americans will be safer if she wins this race.

With your support, we can help Amy win and send Mitch McConnell packing.

Thank you for your support,

The team at Giffords
