KS-Sen: Pete Buttigieg Helps Dr. Barbara Bollier (D) Get Ready To Take Away Moscow Mitch's Majority
Received this e-mail today from former presidential candidate, South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D. IN), in support of Dr. Barbara Bollier’s (D. KS) U.S. Senate campaign:
As the mayor of a city in Indiana, I know there is no such thing as a permanently red state. When we can communicate our message of unity and a better future for working Americans, we can win anywhere.
Some might be surprised that Barbara Bollier is running such a competitive race to flip Kansas’ Senate seat — she’s been statistically tied in every poll since her opponent was chosen in the primary. But it makes sense to me, and this November she’ll become the first woman physician elected to the Senate and the first Democratic senator from Kansas in decades.
It’s not just the presidential election that matters this year. If we want to finally stop all of the partisan fighting in Washington — to get our country moving forward and find real solutions — we must send Barbara to the Senate. I know that as a doctor, she’ll be focused on increasing access to affordable healthcare, lowering prescription drug prices and finally beating the coronavirus.
We need Senators who will set aside the cynicism and get to work. Nothing makes that clearer than what we’re seeing in Washington right now.
