The President is pushing hard for the reopening of schools come August and September of 2020. The paranoia of the President makes him believe that anyone opposing sending their kids, possibly into a diseased Petri dish, is out to get him. “Corrupt Joe Biden and the Democrats don’t want to open schools in the Fall for political reasons, not for health reasons!” he added. “They think it will help them in November. Wrong, the people get it!” said Trump. Of course, Mr. Trump’s demonstrated self-centered nature makes him ascribe nefarious motives to anyone who disagrees with him. It could not possibly, in his mind, be that parents and grandparents, like me, could really be worried about the safety of our loved ones.

Hence, reveals the character of the President of the United States, how the news affects him.  His friendships with North Korea authoritarian Kim Jong-un who jeopardizes American safety with the looming threat of bombs and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, whose security forces beat protesters on American soil with the tacit approval of the President, is all about him. Admitting the cruelty and tyranny of these individuals would point out his inability to identify evil.  Today Purple Heart recipient, Lt. Colonel Alexander Vindman requested early retirement from the Army to escape Mr. Trump’s bullying, because he dared tell the world Mr. Trump conspired with a foreign leader to delegitimize the American election process. Even John Bolton, the conservatives’ conservative asserts that Mr. Trump’s chief concern is not the country but his own political aspirations.

Of course, any patriot or Trump loyalist whose conscience, at some point, demands the truth are labeled disloyal liars, secret liberals, or coffee boys; the career-killing body count is mounting. Today’s announcement of the plan to open schools that may subject children to a deadly disease was a lot of self-congratulatory back-patting, the skewing of meaningless statistics and eye-rolling from experts looking on around the world. As cases rise by the thousands per day and hundreds exponentially die, we still do not have a discernible plan of attack by the self-appointed General [Trump] of World War Covid-19.

Whether you agree with his decisions or opinions the foremost expert on infectious diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci, has been sidelined because he is not willing to walk in lockstep with the President. A president who entertained the idea of light tubes, disinfectant, and bleach as cures. A president who is currently authorizing a drug [Hydroxychloroquine] that has been deemed not only ineffective but dangerous for the treatment of the coronavirus, and using soldiers as “guinea pigs.” It is foolish to be surprised by Trump’s actions when his response to the soldiers he commands being made targets by Russian funded bounties,  was that it is a “hoax.”

A myriad of sources, leaks, and reports disclosed he does not read his Presidential Daily Briefing (PDB) book, so what are the chances he understands the intricacies of virology or the science of infectious diseases.  His niece wrote in her soon to be released book, that he paid someone to take his college SATs, and that for him, lying and cheating is a way of life; I hope she makes a good cup of coffee. The clarity of the danger of Donald Trump is apparent.  Remember when two Ebola deaths were enough for conservatives to demand Obama resign. For Trump’s cultist, even the deaths of 130,000 people with possibly 100,000 of them a result of incompetent leadership, still is not enough to sway them.

Vote in 2020 for Change.
