IL-13: Sen. Dick Durbin (D) Helps Betsy Dirksen Londrigan (D) Get Ready To Unseat Rodney Davis (R)

Received this e-mail from U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D. IL) in support of Betsy Dirksen Londrigan’s (D. IL-13) re-match against Rep. Rodney Davis (R. IL-13):

Last year, Betsy Dirksen Londrigan ran an incredible race for the U.S. House, challenging a three-term Republican incumbent in Central Illinois and coming within 1% of winning this seat.

Betsy started a movement in Illinois’ 13th District, and I am so pleased that she has announced that she will run for the seat again in 2020. But she needs our early support if she’s going to win.

Contribute $5 now to help Democrat Betsy Dirksen Londrigan launch her campaign.

The stakes are high in this race. Right now, the people of this district are represented by a Republican who voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act, jeopardizing health care for millions. But we have the opportunity to replace him with someone who will fight for health care for all.

This was a razor-thin race in 2018 and will be even more competitive in 2020. The Republicans and special interests will spend whatever it takes to defend this GOP Congressman’s seat. Betsy doesn’t have that kind of money machine, but she has us — let’s step up and help her win.

Betsy needs a strong start to her campaign to flip this House seat blue in 2020. Can you help send Betsy to Congress to fight for all of us? Pitch in $5 to her campaign now.

My best,

Dick Durbin
