Apologies, yesterday was a very busy day for me so I am playing catch up here. Received this e-mail from Theresa Greenfield’s (D. IA) U.S. Senate campaign:
Forty-seven years ago, the historic ruling Roe v. Wade affirmed the right of all people to make their own reproductive health care choices.
But in the decades since that landmark decision, this fundamental right faces continued attacks. Already, over 200 Republican lawmakers — including my Republican opponent, Senator Joni Ernst — signed an amicus brief urging the Supreme Court to consider overturning Roe.
We can't let this attack go unanswered.
Time and time again, my Republican opponent has made it clear that she isn't on the side of women. From saying she's “very proud” of her attempts to defund Planned Parenthood to her most recent attack on Roe, she's placing her own extreme agenda over what's best for women everywhere.
I believe women's health care decisions should remain between her and her doctor. That's why I will fight back against any attack on this right and ensure that all women have access to the care they need.
