Here’s A Way To Combat The Climate Emergency!

In solidarity with a sustainable tomorrow,  Mike Fox for Alan, Dr. Bill, Dan, Janis, Deb, Bryan, Kimberly, Mike H. and Shayna — your PDA National Staff

We Can Turn This Around
If We/Congress Recognize Urgency

This from our friends in the The Climate Emergency Coalition:

The planet is in crisis and our leaders are asleep at the wheel. We need to initiate a national mobilization – on a scale not seen since World War II  – to reverse global warming and protect humanity and the natural world from collapse.

It’s time to tell Congress to declare a Climate and Ecological Emergency. We must mobilize all available resources to create a just transition for workers and frontline communities, and an economy that keeps fossil fuels in the ground.

Don’t wait, send a letter to your representative today.

There is no more time for multi-decade solutions. If we don’t act now, Earth could become uninhabitable in a matter of decades.

Join the growing coalition fighting for a Climate Emergency Declaration.

The United Kingdom, and now Canada, have joined more than 600 cities in declaring Climate Emergency. Now is the moment for the U.S. to join them. Urgent action is needed to protect humanity, and the entire web of life.

You can help spread the word by forwarding this email to your networks and asking them to send a letter to their representatives.

This fight won’t be won alone. Join the movement today for an emergency climate mobilization to protect all of humanity.

Thank you for your commitment to solving this crisis. Together we can make a difference and  for the sake of humanity and our planet.

PS: Once you’ve sent your letter, please contribute what you can to help us combat the Climate Emergency!  We’re trying to raise money for materials for local activism, so your help is vital and greatly appreciated!
