Hank Aaron was a giant of a man, not just a legendary baseball player.

Not only did he break Babe Ruth’s “unbreakable” home run record, he was also a civil rights hero who never missed a chance to fight for equality. Eventually his efforts led to a Presidential Medal of Freedom and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund’s Thurgood Marshall Lifetime Achievement Award.
