And you only get one guess: Tulsi Gabbard.
Literally, I laughed out loud when saw this on TV.
“Up to this point, I have been opposed to pursuing impeachment because it will further divide our already badly divided country,” Gabbard said Friday in a press release from her campaign. “However, after looking carefully at the transcript of the conversation with Ukraine’s President, the whistleblower complaint, the Inspector General memo, and President Trump’s comments about the issue, unfortunately, I believe that if we do not proceed with the inquiry, it will set a very dangerous precedent.”
Emboldened is mine.
Uh, I don’t believe you Tulsi on the part about “after looking carefully at the transcript of the conversation with Ukraine’s President.” That’s because you said this about the transcript:
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) said Wednesday that the partial transcript of President Trump's call with Ukraine’s president released by the Trump administration doesn’t show a “compelling” case for impeachment.
“Most people reading through that transcript are not going to find that extremely compelling cause to throw out a president that won an election in 2016,” the Democratic presidential candidate told Hill.TV during an appearance on “Rising.”
Did your reading comprehension improve Tulsi over the last several days? Did you get a tutor to help you with your literacy issues? Or is this just a very cynical move to stay relevant in the 4th Democratic presidential debate?
I bet the prospect of getting hammered in the next debate for your previous anti-impeachment stance was flashing before your eyes. And your stance against impeachment was not looking brave or thoughtful but just a dereliction of your constitutional duty and plain stupid, especially since the vast majority of House Democrats now support impeachment. As any parent could have told you, not having consequences for a rule breaker just encourages more rule breaking. And it is just now that you have figured that out about Trump?
