GA-Sen: “Millions just received a $1,400 check. It wouldn't have happened without Georgia.”

3 min read

Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senator Bob Casey, Jr. (D. PA) in support of U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock’s (D. GA) re-election campaign:

Sen. Bob Casey, Jr. (D. PA)

Millions of people are paying overdue bills, buying medicine, paying their rent, and feeding their families right now thanks to the passage of President Biden's American Rescue Plan.

Without Senator Raphael Warnock, Democrats wouldn't have had the votes to overcome Republican opposition and deliver that relief.

Senator Warnock won in Georgia because people like you chipped in whatever you could to make it possible. You helped him get out the vote in the middle of a pandemic and fight back against a tidal wave of Republican attack ads. Now, we need to do it again.

Senator Warnock is one of the four most vulnerable senators up for reelection in 2022, and he needs your support to defend the majority. Will you chip in $13 before his first end-of-quarter deadline of the next election?

It's not hard to imagine what would have happened if you didn't have Senator Warnock's back.

We already saw congressional Republicans drag their feet on nearly every relief proposal before the election while President Trump was in office. If they still held the majority, they would have only ramped the obstruction up further and played the same political games they did when Barack Obama was president.

Thanks to you and Senator Warnock, Bob and his colleagues have the majority they need to get things done for people like you. We can't let Republicans derail our progress in the next election by taking this seat for granted.

Don't wait until next year to get involved and keep our future on track. Chip in $13 to make sure Senator Warnock has the resources he needs to build a winning 2022 team, before Wednesday's end-of-quarter deadline.

Thanks for doing your part,

Team Casey

Also, the Pennsylvania Democratic Party is helping the Georgia Democratic Party fight back against voter suppression. Received this e-mail yesterday from the Pennsylvania Democratic Party:

Let's not sugarcoat it: Republican extremists don't want Black people to vote. There's no other reason to outlaw giving voters water or curtail “Souls to the Polls” Sunday voting, as Georgia did last week.

Protecting and expanding ballot access needs to be priority #1, and the work can't wait another minute.

The Democratic state parties in Georgia and Pennsylvania are leading the charge to register and mobilize voters. Will you split $20.22 between GA Dems and PA Dems to win the fight against voter suppression?

Republicans' un-American policies are a threat to democracy wherever the GOP holds power — not just in Georgia or the south. Right here in PA, Harrisburg Republicans are pushing FOURTEEN voter suppression bills that would hurt Black and Brown voters most.

But 2020 showed us their voter suppression schemes are no match for an organized and energized electorate. That's why PA Democrats have set a goal of registering and turning out 125,000 new voters.

Help Democrats in PA register voters and Democrats in GA fight undemocratic new voting laws. Split a donation between the state parties to build long-term power in two key battlegrounds.
