GA-Sen B: Rev. Raphael Warnock (D) Keeps Up The Pressure On Congress To Save The U.S. Postal Service

Received this e-mail today from Rep. Raphael Warnock’s (D. GA) U.S. Senate campaign:

Friend,

The U.S. Postal Service is in serious danger: Postal workers are getting sick, mail volume is dropping – and without emergency funding, this vital institution could be insolvent by September.

We can’t let this happen, friend. An insolvent Postal Service would mean 600,000 hardworking people could lose their jobs. It would make it harder for communities across our country – especially those in rural areas – to access lifesaving medications, wages and Social Security benefits. And with millions of voters planning to cast their ballots by mail this November, it could put our constitutional right to vote at risk.

I’m raising my voice to support this essential service, but congressional action is the only thing that can save the USPS from catastrophe – and I need your help to demand it. Please, friend, will you click here to add your name to our petition demanding Congress take action now to save the Postal Service? Since this is so urgent, I’m looking to get 2,000 signatures by midnight tonight.

Thanks so much for raising your voice with me on this critical issue.

Reverend Warnock
