GA-Sen A & B: Rep. Adam Schiff (D. CA) Helps Kick Out Two Trump Enablers From The U.S. Senate
Received this e-mail from House Intelligence Committee Chairman, Rep. Adam Schiff (D. CA-28), in support of Jon Ossoff (D. GA) & Rev. Raphael Warnock’s (D. GA) U.S. Senate campaigns:
Now that we’ve decidedly rejected another four years of Donald Trump in the White House, our fight for progress isn’t over.
In fact, control of the U.S. Senate majority is still up for grabs, which means we can still flip the Senate blue. Here’s how:
Democrats Reverend Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff are both advancing to runoff elections with their Republican challengers in Georgia this January. If both can clinch wins, we can take back the Senate from Mitch McConnell and give President-elect Joe Biden a blue Senate to start rapidly voting on the progressive legislation we’ve been passing in the House for years.
Things like universal, affordable health care for all, a federal $15 minimum wage, restoration of the Voting Rights Act, commonsense gun reform, the Equality Act to protect LGBTQ Americans, a path to citizenship for DREAMers, and of course, more pandemic relief to alleviate struggling workers, families, and small businesses. All of that and more can be passed in both chambers of Congress and signed into law by President-elect Biden if we win these runoffs.
Both Rev. Warnock and Jon are strong Democratic leaders I know we can count on in the Senate, and both of their runoff races are toss-ups we can win. But we all know McConnell and dark money GOP groups are about to pour untold amounts of money into their Republican opponents’ campaigns over these next two months. That’s why they need your support today.
Rev. Warnock and Jon did so well in the general election and are advancing to runoffs because of the grassroots support they received from people like you.
Let’s band together and give them the resources they need to win in January and finally take back the Senate from McConnell and the GOP before President-elect Joe Biden is sworn into office.
