Received this e-mail from former presidential candidate and HUD Secretary, Julián Castro (D. TX), in support of Jon Ossoff (D. GA) and Rev. Raphael Warnock’s (D. GA) U.S. Senate campaigns:
We learned on Election Day that we MUST prioritize Latinos if we want to win big.
Georgia has one of the largest Latino populations in the country, so we’re doing everything we can right now to reach and mobilize Latino voters in the state to elect Reverend Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, and flip the Senate blue!
There’s a lot of work to be done right now to make sure all newly eligible voters in Georgia are registered and to reach eligible voters who did not participate in the November 3rd election before Georgia’s January 5th runoff.
Can we count on you to split a contribution between Reverend Warnock, Jon Ossoff, and People First Future right now to ensure we have the resources needed to guarantee an overwhelming voter turn out on January 5th?
Warnock and Ossoff are running against two Trump Republicans who have both downplayed the ongoing pandemic while profiting from it, and are now using millions of their own fortunes to buy these seats.
Without the Senate, the Biden-Harris administration will not have the critical allies they need in Congress to pass legislation on our most pressing progressive priorities — including urgently needed coronavirus aid.
You can help flip the Senate and guarantee that our progressive priorities will be heard in the halls of power by splitting a contribution right now to help mobilize Latino voters in Georgia and elect Reverend Warnock and Jon Ossoff. Can we count on you to step up with a split contribution today?
These are not races we can sit out on. The future of our country depends on the work the Biden-Harris administration will do in their first months in office. They need a Democratic Senate to get it done.
Thank you for stepping up today,
