Sidney Powell, the cray-cray-kraken lawyer, has been pretty loose with her tongue when it comes to, you know, slander.

And now, one of the entities she’s (allegedly) slandered over and over again is through playing nice.

Axios:

Dominion Voting Systems plans to sue attorney Sidney Powell “imminently” for defamation, and it's continuing to explore similar suits against President Trump and others, company founder and CEO John Poulos told the Axios Re:Cap podcast on Monday.

  • Trump, during his leaked call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, called the U.S.-based company “corrupt” and had to be corrected by Raffensperger after claiming machines had been recently removed and/or altered by Dominion employees.
  • Dominion says that the rhetorical barrage has led to death threats against its employees, including one who remains unable to return to his home.

You mean you can’t just say anything you want about a company without facing repercussions? I wish I’d known that before I insisted Chick-fil-A made me want to binge-watch Gilmore Girls on a velour snuggle-couch with Todd and Sarah Palin. (For the record, I have no proof that there’s a causal relationship here. Also for the record, my attorneys insisted that I add this disclaimer.)

You know, I’ve always wondered how many people and companies might end up suing Trump over his fusillade of lies. Let’s hope Dominion follows through, and that its suit is just the first of many.
