Did Donald Trump commit voter fraud?

1 min read

Okay, the title of this piece is clickbait.

I know that.

But consider this. Donald Trump changed his legal address from Trump Tower to Mar a Lago, and he voted absentee in Florida’s Republican primary.

But here’s the problem: This story up this morning at the website of The Washington Post points out that Trump had signed documents which effectively made it illegal for anyone to reside at Mar a Lago, that one could only stay there temporarily.

By claiming the Club as his permanent residence for voting purposes, did Trump thereby make a false statement?  Did he vote illegally in the primary  because in fact he was not a legal resident of Florida?

Given Trump’s rants about illegal voting, might it make for an interesting ad, say by Priorities USA or by The Lincoln Project?
