Received this e-mail from U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D. OH) in support of U.S. Senator Michael Bennet’s (D. CO) re-election campaign:
The Washington Post: “GOP looks to win back Senate in 2022”
The fight for the Senate has already begun — we’re only a couple of months into the new year, but the race for the Senate is taking shape and Colorado is emerging as a potential battleground that could decide Majority control.
My friend and colleague Sen. Michael Bennet needs the support of our grassroots organization to start strengthening his campaign for the tough 2022 fight ahead of him, and he’s approaching an important end-of-month deadline. If you can, will you split a contribution between Michael’s campaign and mine?
Last year, we helped Colorado Sen. John Hickenlooper defeat Cory Gardner, flipping a critical Senate seat from red to blue that led to Democrats winning back the Majority.
Well, Gardner is already looking ahead to 2022 — he launched a new right-wing super PAC to funnel money into Republican war chests, take back the Senate, and put Mitch McConnell back in power as Majority Leader.
Washington Republicans only need to flip one seat to take back control of the Senate. We need to start pitching in now to help leaders like Michael make sure that doesn’t happen. If you can, click here to split a contribution between his campaign and mine >>
We can’t afford to lose Michael’s pro-worker leadership in the Senate:
- Michael is fighting to expand COVID-19 relief.
- He introduced a measure to raise the minimum wage.
- He helped expand access to health care.
- And he’s been one of my top partners in the Senate fighting to put more money in families' pockets and end childhood poverty.
This cannot wait — Michael’s campaign needs to start raising the resources now to defend this Colorado Senate seat, and he needs the strength of our grassroots movement to do it. If you can, please split a contribution between Michael’s campaign and mine before the end-of-month deadline.
