CO-Sen: Elizabeth Warren (D. MA) Helps John Hickenlooper (D) Put A End To Moscow Mitch's Majority

Received this e-mail yesterday from former presidential candidate, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D. MA), in support of John Hickenlooper’s (D. CO) U.S. Senate campaign:

John Hickenlooper (D. CO)

Democrats need to flip four seats to make sure we take back the U.S. Senate — and that starts right here in Colorado.

I’m proud to endorse my friend John Hickenlooper because I know he’ll bring much-needed change to Washington. If you’re in a place to make a contribution, will you join me in supporting John’s campaign by making a contribution today? We can’t flip this seat without grassroots donors like you.

John started out running a brewpub — my kind of guy. As Mayor, then Governor, he took on the NRA and got tough background checks for guns. He shut down two coal-fired plants and replaced them with wind and solar energy. And he fiercely protected an individual’s right to choose.

It would be my honor to fight alongside John in the Senate to combat climate change, demand racial justice, and put economic power into the hands of working people. John’s always gotten big things done and boy, do we need that in Washington.

But Mitch McConnell knows this race is the Democrats’ best chance to flip a seat and end his Senate majority. So, his ultra-wealthy buddies are hammering John with false attacks and outspending his campaign nearly 3:1.

That’s a huge disadvantage. But I know that this grassroots team is stronger than any rich bully. So, I’m asking if you’ll pitch in today to help John defeat his Republican opponent, flip this seat, and end Mitch McConnell’s Senate majority.

This is one of the most important Senate elections this year, and I’d be deeply grateful if you could join me in supporting John’s campaign today however you can.

We can do this. Together, we can take back our government and get Washington working for working people — but first, we have to win this race.

Thanks for being a part of this,
