Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D. IL) in support of John Hickenlooper (D. CO), Steve Bullock (D. MT) and Tina Smith’s (D. MN) U.S. Senate campaigns:
John Hickenlooper (D. CO)
Lately, the polls and experts are catching up to what we already know:
Democrats can win big this November — and take back the Senate from Mitch McConnell.
There’s much work to be done during this national emergency. But in Washington, Mitch McConnell called Senators back to promote his former intern to the second-highest court in the land. That’s what’s wrong with Congress in a nutshell, and why we need to elect a Democratic Senate majority this fall.
In Colorado and Montana, Democratic candidates Steve Bullock and John Hickenlooper are posing serious challenges to GOP incumbents and boosting our chances of a Democratic Senate majority.
Steve Bullock (D. MT)
And in Minnesota, Democratic Senator Tina Smith is fighting tooth and nail to defend her seat — we can’t afford to lose a single incumbent and still win this fight.
Taking back control of the Senate is a fight we can win.
But if we’re going to elect a Democratic majority, we need to support our candidates each step of the way. They simply can’t succeed in these must-win fights if we don’t have their backs.
Sen. Tina Smith (D. MN)
That’s why I’m doing all I can to not only hold on to our Democratic seat here in Illinois, but also elect (and re-elect) as many Democrats as we can all over the country this November.
