Chicago mayor Lightfoot's response to Trump's latest tweets 'begins with F and ends with You'
After Donald Trump peeled back another layer of decaying orange face rind last night to reveal still more maggots underneath, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot apparently decided enough was enough.
In case you missed it, Trump tweeted this about the riots that have erupted in response to the killing of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin:
….These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!

Well, Lightfoot was having none of it:
LIGHTFOOT: “Donald Trump’s comment last night was profoundly dangerous, and we must stand in firm solidarity and say this is totally unacceptable no matter who is the speaker. And, folks, we see the game he’s playing because it’s so transparent and he’s not very good at it. He wants to show failures on the part of Democratic local leaders to throw red meat to his base. His goal is to polarize, to destabilize local government and inflame racist urges, and we can absolutely not let him prevail. And I will code what I really want to say to Donald Trump. It’s two words. It begins with ‘F’ and it ends with ‘you.’ I will not remain silent while this man cynically tries to turn this incredibly painful moment into one for his own political gain.”
Go ahead, Mayor Lightfoot. Don’t mince words.
