J.K. Rowling tweeted a similar photo comparison and added a very clear distinction:

The sparsely populated photo on the right is what Trump described as “an unbelievable, perhaps record-setting turnout”. The photo on the left is what that actually looks like.  

Sean Spicer ruined his reputation by being forced to say, despite all photographic evidence, that Trump’s inauguration had “the largest audience ever to witness an inauguration. Period.”  At least he later said he regretted lying about it. Trump, however, still insists–falsely–that the National Park Service doctored the photos.  Trump even personally tried to go after the NPS staffer who simply posted his inauguration photos alongside Obama’s on twitter.

But no one needed to lie about the turnout for the royal celebration in Britain today.  This was real bona-fide support and admiration:

Now, our allied leaders openly mock Trump….

And our enemies run right over him….

At least our British friends can hold their heads high today.
