I was a liberal until the former host of Wheel of Fortune and Love Connection logged on and fucking owned me with a tweet about Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel. Now I don't know what to believe.

Even if they paid for the next date it seems all a bit antithetical, even reactionary, to make Hegel trend yet again in Twitter. The last time Hegel trended it was a hoax letter to an “agony aunt” website about a relationship problem between a philosopher and a scientist, perhaps written by bored students.
I imagine IF Chuck knows Hegel at all, he is referring to the Philosophy of Right.
But what I'm saying is he's accusing progressives of indiscriminately celebrating the "new." I'm assuming he knows the constitution was written before Hegel wrote, otherwise his post is senseless.

I think Hegel would argue that the real love connection is when the state is the concrete actualization of a form of absolute knowing traditional only conceived as possible by an individuated, atomized subject.

Long ago the Greek philosopher Heraclitus argued that justice emerges from the strife of opposites, and Hegel, in modern philosophy, preached a doctrine of growth through struggle — Martin Luther King, Jr.https://t.co/lXcgraPP8c#Hegel #MLK #philosophy pic.twitter.com/7RVdosaI3V
