Yesterday featured another weak dog-wag with the Turkish incursion into Syria, but that’s perhaps the best that PABOTUS* can do under the circumstances to divert attention away from the Ukraine situation and the impeachment.

If Trump & team did nothing wrong, why are they blocking witnesses and documents?
The Trump White House said in a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and three House committee chairman that it would not comply with their requests for witnesses and documents as part of their impeachment inquiry.
Pelosi: “The White House letter is only the latest attempt to cover up his betrayal of our democracy, and to insist that the President is above the law.”

Probably the best way to read the White House letter, though, is that Trump is doing his best to try to force Pelosi to impeach him now rather than later.
Trump and the GOP are still trying to discredit the first whistleblower even though 1) thereâÂÂs a transcript, 2) thereâÂÂs a second whistleblower with first-hand knowledge, and 3) Trump already admitted to everything but somehow thinks there was nothing wrong with any of it. ðÂÂÂðÂÂÂðÂÂÂ
A spokesman for the Turkish president, Recep Tayyap Erdoğan, justified the impending invasion by saying that Trump, in a telephone conversation with Erdoğan on Sunday, had handed Turkey the mantle of the counter-Isis battle that the US has been waging alongside Kurdish forces since late 2014.
Fahrettin Altun, Erdoğan’s communications director and one of his closest aides, suggested Trump had given the Turkish leader the green light for an invasion, contradicting denials from White House officials.
“During a phone call with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Sunday, President Trump agreed to transfer the leadership of the counter-Islamic State campaign to Turkey,” Altun wrote in acommentary in the Washington Postpublished on Tuesday evening. “The Turkish military, together with the Free Syrian Army, will cross the Turkish-Syrian border shortly.”
