AL-Sen: DFA Refuses To Let Jeff Sessions (R) Take His Old Seat Back From Senator Doug Jones (D)

2 min read

Received this e-mail from Democracy for America in support of U.S. Senator Doug Jones’ (D. AL) re-election campaign:

Trump’s former crook of an Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, just announced he’s running for his old Senate seat in Alabama.

We Must Act Right Now to protect Doug Jones and keep this seat!

It’s clear Republicans are terrified of losing the Senate and are doing whatever it takes to keep hold of their disappearing majority.

McConnell and his dark money network are already pouring money into this race and others across the country to attack vulnerable Democrats. But we’ve beat them before and with your help, we can do it again.

In 2017, DFA fought hard for Doug Jones and the support of this team helped pushed him to victory. Together, we organized volunteers, raised over $50,000 for the campaign, and ran targeted social media ads in critical communities to mobilize the New American Majority of Black, brown, and progressive white voters.

But taking back the Senate in 2020 is going to take a whole lot more resources.

We have to flip FOUR seats to take back the Senate and defend Democrats like Doug Jones everywhere. It won’t be easy, but it’s possible. That’s why we’re doubling down on our efforts to win in every corner of the country.

Will you donate $5 or more to help us build winning campaigns across the country and take back the Senate in 2020?

Thanks for fighting alongside us.
