Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D. OH) in support of Dr. Al Gross’ (I. AK) U.S. Senate campaign:

The race for the Senate in Alaska could play a key role in determining control of the Senate in 2020, and political experts changed the race rating in our favor and said it’s now more likely to flip than ever.

That’s a testament to the fact that Dr. Al Gross is exactly the kind of leader we need in the Senate right now. If you can, please chip in to send Dr. Gross to the Senate.

From downplaying the gravity of the current pandemic to refusing to reopen enrollment for the Affordable Care Act, the Trump Administration has proven itself incapable of leading during a health crisis.

Even before this crisis, Trump and congressional Republicans have shown just how little they value the health care of Americans with their endless attempts to repeal the ACA. They even support a lawsuit before the Supreme Court that could overturn the ACA in its entirety.

Dr. Gross is a surgeon and a lifelong Alaskan with firsthand experience of the health care struggles facing Americans. He knows that we need to strengthen health care and make it more affordable so hardworking Americans aren’t afraid they’ll go bankrupt any time they need to go to the doctor.

It’s clearer than ever why we need leaders like Dr. Gross in the Senate who will rely on facts and science to make decisions.

Dr. Gross needs strong grassroots support to keep the positive momentum in his campaign going so he can flip the crucial red seat and take back the Majority in November. If you can, please chip in to Dr. Gross’ campaign today.

With gratitude,

Sherrod
