Received this e-mail today from former presidential candidate, U.S. Senator Kamala Harris (D. CA), in support of Dr. Al Gross’ (I. AK) U.S. Senate campaign:
I wanted you to be the first to hear the big news:
I'm endorsing Dr. Al Gross for U.S. Senate.
And it's not just because James Carville says he has the “best bio in political history,” or because Newsweek and The Forward have said he could be the one to turn the Senate blue.
It's because now more than ever, we need leaders who stand up for the people — and not the special interests. Because, as we continue to endure a global pandemic, we need public health champions fighting for science-based solutions in the Senate.
That's Dr. Al Gross — and that's why I'm proud to support him.
With a pandemic still raging and Donald Trump tweeting dangerous pseudoscience and falsehoods, there's so much on the line this election.
That's why we need leaders like Dr. Al Gross fighting alongside me in the Senate to protect our planet, our schools, and our access to affordable health care.
Together, we can make it happen. In November, wewillflip the Senate and ditch Mitch McConnell, but we can't do it without defeating Dan Sullivan right here in Alaska.
