Received this e-mail today from former presidential candidate, South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D. IN), in support of Dr. Al Gross’ (I. AK) U.S. Senate candidate:
The reality of this year is we can't stick to the sidelines come November. At a time when we are struck by dual economic and health crises, it's up to us to elect leaders committed to helping their constituents.
During this time of uncertainty, Dr. Al Gross sticks out as exactly the kind of leader Alaskans need in the Senate. We need more leaders with medical experience to cut through the hyperpartisanship of politics to increase the affordability of health care — especially as Alaskans are facing soaring health care costs.
Al has a plan for change that includes providing affordable and accessible healthcare for all Americans, taking on climate change to protect our planet, protecting reproductive rights for women, and ending Citizens United so the government works for people — not special interests.
Dr. Gross isn't taking any corporate PAC money — unlike Dan Sullivan and Mitch McConnell — and polling shows this is an extremely close race, which means every vote and dollar counts.
