After Racist Comments, Trump's Approval Rises Among Republicans, but Falls with Everyone Else…

Donald Trump’s support rose 5% among Republicans after he made comments widely considered racist about four Democratic congresswomen who are members of minorities.

His overall approval rate in the Rueters/Ipsos poll stayed the same due to a  two percent drop in approval from Democrats and independents.

A new Reuter/Ipsos poll finds President Trump’s net approval among Republicans rose by 5 percentage points to 72%, after his racist attack on four Democratic lawmakers.

Trump has lost support, however, with Democrats and independents.

Trump’s overall approval remained unchanged over the past week, 41% o 55%

The Reuters/Ipsos poll was conducted online in English and gathered responses from 1,113 adults, including 478 Democrats and 406 Republicans in the United States. It has a credibility interval, a measure of precision, of 3 percentage points for the entire group and 5 points for Democrats or Republicans.
