Team —

I hear from a lot of folks who are looking for the best way to have an impact in 2020. I may be biased, but I believe one of the most effective ways we can make progress in this country will be by flipping the Senate. So, I’d like to ask you to consider helping out my friend Cal Cunningham, who’s running for Senate in North Carolina. But before I do, I hope you’ll let me explain why.

Cal is a lifelong North Carolinian and a veteran with a proven record of public service. He’s running to unseat Republican Senator Thom Tillis because he knows that folks across his home state deserve a Senator who will listen to them and fight for them, not special interests.

This is one of our best chances to take back a Senate seat and three consecutive polls show Cal ahead. He’s got a real shot at winning his race and bringing Democrats one step closer to a majority.

Now, here comes the part where I ask for your help:

Will you help Cal Cunningham keep the momentum by making a contribution to his campaign for U.S. Senate in North Carolina and make sure Democrats win back the Senate in 2020?

We’ve got our work cut out for us, folks. Just like Wisconsin, North Carolina elected Donald Trump in 2016. That means the GOP will do whatever it takes to defeat Cal, just like they fought hard to defeat me last year. As we’re a little too familiar with, they’ll spare no expense to send one of their own to Washington — which is why Mitch McConnell and his network of special interests are already pouring money into North Carolina.

That means Cal is counting on folks like us to help him fight back. I hope I can count on you to stand by his side as he works to flip this seat.

Thank you, as always, for taking action.

— Tammy
