Put it on a bumper sticker – ‘You don’t have to live in Kentucky to vote against Mitch McConnell.’

Hat tip to Huffington Post for the find and video.

Barney Frank had some wise advice for Democrats running for Senate against GOP held seats in 2020. Frank appeared on Hardball with Chris Matthews and predicted that voters would punish the GOP candidates outside of Kentucky. He suggested a bumper sticker targeted at those very voters.

Lee Moran writes:

Frank, who served in Congress from 1981 to 2013, said many Republican senators are in a tough spot, trying to both be renominated and also to win in next year’s election.

“You have a number of Republican senators […] who are very much in that bind,” he said. “And I will tell you I have a slogan that I am suggesting to the Democratic candidates for the Senate all over the country: ‘You don’t have to live in Kentucky to vote against Mitch McConnell.’”

McConnell won’t be able to be majority leader if Republican senators from around the U.S. aren’t reelected, Frank pointed out.

Watch. You can skip to 4:51 for Barney’s remarks.

In Kentucky, Moscow Mitch has a favorability rating of only eighteen percent. Even with that low approval,  Amy McGrath will have a difficult race because he is as slippery as a weasel. I think it is safe to say that Putin and the House of Saud will pull out all the stops to make sure that Putin’s stooge stays in power.

When we take back the presidency, hold the house, the senate flip is crucial to getting anything done to make peoples lives better. McConnell is why we can’t have nice things.
