Paul Ryan, you are Lame

Don’t cheat on your wife. Don’t cheat on anything. Be a good person. Set a good example.’-Paul Ryan.

The preceding quote was a reported candid criticism from the book, American Carnage: On the Front Lines of the Republican Civil War and the Rise of President Trump by Tim Alberta. My response to Mr. Ryan is, you cheated on your country, you cheated on every American and you were not a good person. As two-faced as people like Jeff Flake and Bob Corker [it’s a shame the White House has become an adult daycare center] were, who would make statements then scurry to their hidey-holes for cover, Ryan wore the crown of a hypocrite like a conquering hero.

Following the much heard and now infamous tape of Mr. Trump giving instructions on how to sexually assault a woman and get away with it, Mr. Ryan said, I am not going to defend Donald Trump…Not now, not in the future.” That denunciation was in October of 2016.  Following another Trump verbal atrocity using the phrase “very fine people…on both sides” after the murder of Heather Heyer by an admitted white supremacist in Charlottesville, Virginia, Ryan was explicit and finite in his critique of Mr. Trump. “We must be clear, White supremacy is repulsive. This bigotry is counter to all this country stands for. There can be no moral ambiguity,” said Ryan.

The then House Speaker wanted us to believe he is a moral man and a consistent man, yet immediately following Mr. Trump’s nomination as the Republican candidate for President Mr. Ryan expressed a new opinion, “I won’t pretend otherwise. And when I feel the need to, I’ll continue to speak my mind. But the reality is, on the issues that make up our agenda, we have more common ground than disagreement,” Ryan said.

Exactly what are those things you have in common Paul, you favored free trade (Trump does not), you support NATO (Trump is destroying alliances) you railed against high deficits, Trump's is exploding and you supported holding the leader of North Korea in contempt (Mr. Trump exchanges love letters). So is your common ground bigotry, caging children or—Oh I know, threatening to subvert the Constitution. This morning and predictably Mr. Trump, after having been made aware of your accurate assessment of his skills for President, called you a “baby” and a “running lame-duck failure… with poor leadership.” Besides the misuse of the term lame duck, Mr. Trump returned your wavering, opportunistic loyalty, with the expected strike of a coiled snake.

If not so serious the picture of Mr. Trump standing next to the now former Labor Secretary Alex Acosta, who advanced pedophilia behavior with his amateurish and inept prosecution of a child predator, Jeffrey Epstein, is sickly poetic. It makes me wonder if you [Ryan] meant it when you said, in the aftermath of grabbing them by the p***y, “Women are to be championed and revered, not objectified. I hope Mr. Trump treats this situation with the seriousness it deserves and works to demonstrate to the country that he has greater respect for women than this clip suggests.
