Governor Kemp just enacted HB 481 – a 6-week abortion ban – which makes abortions illegal before most women even know that they are pregnant. It threatens women with life imprisonment and possibly the death penalty if they have an abortion in the state of Georgia. Republican leaders don’t trust women to make our own personal healthcare decisions. Therefore, we shouldn’t trust them with leadership positions.

Georgia's Senator must uphold a woman's right to choose, but David Perdue is advancing the same anti-abortion extremist policies in the Senate that have banned Georgia women from exercising their constitutional right after just 6 weeks. Stand with me against these draconian policies today.

With this bill, the GOP has declared pregnant women to be vessels of the state, and decreed that the men who control the Georgia state legislature and the governor’s office have a compelling “state interest” in our wombs and these most personal decisions. We now know, without any doubt, that all their talk of ‘small government’ and ‘personal freedom’ only applies to them, not us.

The GOP has been at war with women’s rights on every possible front – through similar legislation in 15 other states; at the federal level with legislation introduced by Senator Graham and cosponsored by Senator Perdue; and in the U.S. Supreme Court, which is currently being stacked with avowed anti-abortion activist justices.

I call on women across the country to recognize this war for what it is – an attack on women’s health, safety, and equality. Join with me and aligned efforts everywhere to fight these draconian measures and defeat the politicians behind them.

It's time to put people in leadership who trust women to make their own healthcare decisions. That's why I'm running for Senate – stand with me today

This bill would set our society back 50 years – we have to fight back.

Thank you,

Teresa
