IN-Sen: Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D. RI) Helps Joe Donnelly (D) Get Ready To Defeat Trump's GOPer

Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D. RI) in support of his colleague, U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly’s (D. IN) re-election campaign:

Republicans know that winning in Indiana is essential to pushing forward their corrupt, special-interest-driven agenda, and that's why they're doing everything they can to defeat my friend and colleague Senator Joe Donnelly.

Helping reelect Joe and protect this seat for Democrats is essential to beating back Republican attacks on Medicare, Social Security and other programs that benefit working families. But it won't be easy. Special interests are pouring dark money into Indiana to put Donald Trump's hand-picked candidate in this seat – and we can't let them have the last word.

Joe Donnelly needs our help, so our team has set a goal to help him raise $10,000 by midnight tonight to defend against right-wing attacks and keep fighting for working families. Can I count on you to give $5 or more today to reelect Joe Donnelly, protect this seat for Democrats and defeat Trump’s dangerous agenda?

Our country can’t afford to lose Joe’s leadership. He’s a fighter who has worked to protect health care every chance he’s had. In the battles ahead, we need Joe fighting in the Senate against Trump's corruption and Republican attacks on affordable health care and Social Security.

But The Washington Post is calling Joe the “most vulnerable Democratic senator” and McConnell-linked groups are pouring millions into Indiana to unseat him. Donald Trump and Mike Pence head out to Indiana to campaign for his extremist challenger every chance they get. We have to step forward to help Joe respond to this onslaught.

Let's do what we can to help Joe win in Indiana and protect this seat for Democrats. Will you give $5 now to hit our $10,000 goal, reelect Joe Donnelly and defeat the Trump agenda at the ballot box?

Thank you,

Sheldon
