Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senator Kamala Harris (D. CA) in support of Rep. Kyrsten Sinema’s (D. AZ) U.S. Senate campaign:
I’ve spent the better part of the last week focused on stopping Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court, which means we’re behind on our campaign’s efforts to support Democratic candidates running in November.
Team — I need your help to catch up:
So I want to introduce you to Kyrsten Sinema — a lifelong public servant running for U.S. Senate in Arizona. She has proven herself as an ally to our cause by fighting to expand access to quality, affordable health care, helping veterans get the benefits they’ve earned, and creating good–paying jobs.
Kyrsten is running against Martha McSally — a candidate handpicked by Mitch McConnell who votes with Trump 97% of the time. McSally has already voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act multiple times and voted to defund Planned Parenthood more than a dozen times.
Furthermore, this is a must-win race for Democrats because control of the Senate hinges on winning this open election. That’s why McConnell’s super PAC is spending so much in Arizona, and why I’m asking you to support Kyrsten Sinema’s grassroots campaign today:
Washington Republicans know how crucial this race is and they’re spending millions to win this election. We need to make sure we have Kyrsten’s back right now if we want to take back Congress in November.
Thanks and take care,
