I just want to link to this Huffington Post article on one “solution” to disappearing coal jobs in Kentucky:
To wit, let’s build a federal prison where a coal mine was at.
The article deals with the difficulties and struggles of those in coal country in Kentucky, and it tries to point out alternatives to this bad idea of a job creator. Frankly, I liked the idea of setting up a community center for treating addicts. Sounds like something that could be built on the Medicaid expansion program in Kentucky, which also creates jobs in KY.
Too bad Republicans are trying to eliminate the ACA in KY.
