Morning of Bomb Strike: Fox & Friends Suggested It To Divert Attention From Comey's Book

It’s Washington DC’s worst-kept secret that Trump gets his foreign policy advice from the talking bobble heads at Fox News—specifically, from Fox & Friends, which Trump watches during his “executive time”.  Sadly, his tweets line up perfectly with segments on the show.  Trump goes so far as to literally capture the segment titles in his tweets.

Fox & Friends noticed this as well, which is why they changed their format from talking about him to talking to him:

As late as Thursday, Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said Trump hadn’t reached a decision to bomb Syria and tried to “put the brakes” on the attack fearing a fast escalation of conflict with Russia and Iran.

But Friday morning, during Trump’s executive time, Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt asked this question to Geraldo Rivera:

AINSLEY EARHARDT (CO-HOST): If the president, and France, and the UK decide to strike Syria, don't you think that story would be a bigger story than [former FBI Director James] Comey's book that's released on Tuesday?

So on Friday, just days after Trump announced to everyone that America would pull out and disengage with Syria completely, he ordered an aggressive, sustained bombing campaign of Syria. Anyone who thinks Trump did this because he gives a rat’s ass about the plight of Syrian children is delusional. We are talking about a man who issued two executive orders that were written specifically to target Syrian refugees.

But in the context of thinking this would distract from his legal troubles? That makes more sense.

I’m not the only one. The good Senator from New Mexico also thinks this is a Rosenstein/Comey distraction.

I figured we’d get into a war with either North Korea or Iran by the end of this year, but even I thought a war with Russia was unthinkable with Trump in office.  Yet here we are, facing that real possibility.

I always knew Fox and Friends was really bad, but I never imagined they might be responsible for World War III.
