2.9 Million Vaccinated Friday, More Than 1% of All Eligible Americans

The Friday statistics from Center for Disease Control reports more than 2.9 million Americans were vaccinated, which is 1.1% of all Americans old enough to receive the shots. The CDC allows a three day window for vaccination reports so the exact day these were administered is somewhat hazy.
Nonetheless, just a moth ago this would have seemed a pretty incredible number. The Biden Administration has spared no efforts to make it happen.
The improvement was made possible by a steady increase in doses by Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna and the addition of Johnson and Johnson’s newly approved single-dose vaccine. Unfortunately, J&J had only about 4 million doses ready to administer, though it is planning on having 20 million by the end of the month. Four to Five million a day by the end of March seems possible.
The number of Americans who received at least one shot jumped by over 1.8 million Friday, a 0.6% increase from Thursday. The CDC reports 22.5% of all eligible Americans have had at least one dose. Alaska leads with 32.1% of its residents vaccinated among those old enough.
