100 Millionth American Arm Was Vaccinated Today
Vaccinations in the US for Covid-19 should pass 100 Million people of those who have received at least one dose. The CDC report for yesterday shows 30% of all Americans getting at least one jab. For adults, that number is at 38.4% and for seniors, 73.7%. That’s a total of 153.6 million of first and second shots for all Americans.
The biggest vaccination campaign in history is underway. More than 608 million doses have been administered across 150 countries, according to data collected by Bloomberg. The latest rate was roughly 15.6 million doses a day.
In the U.S., more Americans have received at least one dose than have tested positive for the virus since the pandemic began. So far, 154 million doses have been given. In the last week, an average of 2.90 million doses per day were administered.
