WATCH: Desperate Trump Openly Accuses 44 States Of Hiding Evidence Of Mass Voter Fraud

Donald Trump just sank to a new low in his desperate effort to prove that Hillary Clinton did not win the popular vote.

Soon after taking office, Trump claimed that he won the popular vote because millions of people voted illegally in the 2016 Election. Trump did this without offering a shred of evidence to back up his outrageous claim.

Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes, and voter fraud is incredibly rare in our country. In fact, it’s so rare that only a handful of cases have been reported nationwide.

Even Republican secretaries of state across the country have said that Trump is full of shit.

But Trump created a “voter fraud” commission anyway to investigate his allegations.

Recently, the commission sent a letter to all 50 states demanding voter information such as names, addresses, social security numbers, party affiliation, and dates of birth. And most states, including commission chair Kris Kobach’s home state of Kansas, refused to comply with the request because surrendering the information would violate voter’s privacy.

Trump’s initial reaction earlier this month was to whine about it on Twitter and accuse the states of hiding something.

But now Trump has jumped from whining on Twitter to openly accusing 44 states of trying to sabotage his commission by hiding voter fraud.

In the opening remarks of the first open meeting of the commission, Trump accused the states of hiding something.

“If any state does not want to share this information, one has to wonder what they’re worried about,” Trump said. “What are they worried about? There’s something, there always is.”

It sounds like he’s talking about his ever-growing Russia scandal, but he’s literally accusing states of hiding mass voter fraud just because they refuse to violate the privacy of American voters.

And keep in mind that 33 states have Republican governors. So Trump is even accusing Republican-controlled states of conspiracy to hide voter fraud.

Here’s the video via YouTube.

At what point do Republicans recognize this witch hunt for what it is? Trump is persecuting states now because they won’t cooperate with his illegal effort to stroke his own ego. And yes, it is illegal in most of these states to release much of the information Trump’s commission demanded. Trump has taken a page from Joe McCarthy and is now accusing high-level state officials of conspiring to hide election crimes.

His accusations are absurd and should be mocked and ridiculed. And frankly, state officials should call for Trump’s impeachment. This is an abuse of power. This is intimidation. This is a false accusation by the so-called president. This is an assault on our democracy and our right to privacy. And it should not be tolerated.
