WATCH: Conservative Pastor Tells Fox News That God Sent Police To Kill ‘Evil’ Black People

Rather than condemn the killing of innocent black men by some police officers and the systemic racism that still exists within some police departments, Dallas megachurch pastor Robert Jeffress to urge churches, particularly black churches,”to instill in their members a respect for the police.”

Jeffress defended police officers who shoot unarmed or innocent black men as merely engaging in “overreaction” and insisted that God sent police to kill “evil doers.”

The New Testament says in Romans 13:4 that law enforcement officers are ministers of God sent by God to punish evil doers. When you think about it, police officers are just as called by God to do what they do as pastors and priests are called by God. And I think we need to remind our members of that.

Romans 13:4 states,

For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

In short, police are supposed to do good, not do evil themselves. But some police officers have exercised a brutality against black men in recent years that they rarely exercise against white people, even if the white person is actually shooting at them with intent to kill. Meanwhile, there are far too many incidents of police beating the hell out of or just killing black people who have their hands up or are complying.

Jeffress continued by whining about how “sick and tired” he is “of so-called ministers who do nothing but sow seeds of distrust and disrespect for the police.”

And by that, he means actual Christians who are horrified by the unnecessary extinguishing of innocent lives by people who are supposed to protect and serve without prejudice.

“Those kinds of bogus ministers need to be exposed,” Jeffress continued, “and need to be called out for what they’re doing.”

Speaking of “bogus ministers,” Jeffress is a millionaire pastor plus expenses preaching hate in his multi-million dollar megachurch in Dallas.

But he didn’t even stop there. He also blamed President Obama for the Dallas shooting in which five police officers were killed. Jeffress claimed President Obama is blaming police officers when he should be blaming black people, whom he compared to terrorists.

I’m afraid the president, just like he did with conservative Christians after the beheading by ISIS of Christians, it seemed like he wanted to blame conservative Christians in the past instead of putting the blame when it belongs.

And then Jeffress concluded by suggesting black people don’t teach their kids to respect police and claimed that black people would not get shot and killed if they simply obeyed the officer.

And you know, I have to say if we would teach our children to respect law enforcement officers, they wouldn’t have anything to worry about. The Bible says law enforcement officers are nothing to be feared if you do what is right.

Except that there are countless occasions where police officers have severely brutalized or even killed black people who comply or are not resisting. But you won’t hear Jeffress talk about that because it doesn;t fit into his narrative that all cops are good and all black people are “evil doers” who hate the police, which is the ever since Thursday night.

The fact is that President Obama has not blamed ALL police for what a few have done to the black community. He has praised police for their hard work protecting our communities but at the same time he is also concerned about the unnecessary killing of black men by some police officers who fail to exercise the same restraint towards black people that they show toward white people.

We can mourn the five Dallas police officers and the black victims of police brutality at the same time. But blaming black people for the deaths of these cops is just as bad as blaming all police officers for the actions of a few.
