WATCH: Chuck Todd SMACKS DOWN Trump Official For Blaming The Media For Trump’s Nasty Tweets

If this is the best defense Donald Trump’s team can think of then they are truly pathetic.

And Chuck Todd called them out for it on Sunday’s Meet The Press during an interview with Trump’s Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price.

As we all know, Trump posted a series of offensive tweets this week attacking Mika Brzezinski.

Trump’s unpresidential tweets has resulted in many Republican leaders begging him to stop this kind of behavior but when , Price balked.

“What I’m concentrated on is the job that he’s given me,” Price claimed.

And that’s when Todd dropped the hammer with a question Price should have easily been able to answer.

“If your son tweeted to a woman like that, what would you say to him?” Todd asked.

It’s really simple. Price should have said he would feel ashamed and sickened to hear his son treat a woman that way. After all, Price was an elected official in Georgia, so one would expect his son to be a southern gentleman who knows how to treat a lady.

But Price refused to answer the question, giving the impression that he would totally approve of his son treating women like shit.

Instead, Price ignored Trump’s deplorable behavior and proceeded to blame Meet The Press for Trump’s tweets.

“The challenge that I’ve been given is to address the health care program,” Price whined. “And your program, a program with the incredible history of Meet the Press, and that’s what you want to talk about?”

Let’s all remember that Donald Trump is the one who posted these tweets. The media did not force him to write them. And when a president says stuff like that, it’s news. Trump can’t seriously expect the media to ignore the horrible things he says on Twitter.

And Todd made it clear that he would rather be talking about other things. It’s just that Trump refuses to keep his mouth shut.

“I don’t,” Todd said. “All due respect, you’re blaming me for what the president of the United States has spent his entire week focused on?”

Price claimed talking about healthcare is more important, and he is right. However, he also claimed that Trump is focused on it. Except that Trump is clearly NOT focused on healthcare because he would rather attack the media on Twitter instead of focusing on the important issues of the day. In short, Trump own behavior is distracting, but Price won’t admit it.

“Why isn’t the president as devoted to this as you are?” Todd fired back, only to get the lame reply that Trump can multitask.

Here’s the video via YouTube.

Trump’s tweets are beneath the dignity of the presidency. No parent should want their children to act the way Trump acts. Tom Price’s son should be ashamed of his father. If Price were a decent human being or a good parent, he would have told Todd that he wouldn’t want his son acting that way. But that would have meant condemning Trump’s behavior, and not doing so makes Price a coward as well.
