The U.S. Navy Just Demonstrated They Don’t Tolerate Right-Wing Nutjobs In The BEST Way

Jack Posobiec is an avid Trump fan, and a complete asshole to boot. His name is familiar to many on both the left and the right because he’s a known conspiracy theorist, but what many may not know is he’s also a Navy reservist with a top secret security clearance. And the Navy is not happy with him. They have stripped him of his security clearance, and there’s a possibility that’s due to his connections to right-wing extremists and the alt-right.

He says that his clearance was put on hold back in February while he was between units, but also because his commanding officer had concerns about his Twitter account. His Twitter account proves he’s more or less a complete right-wing nutjob, and it’s understandable that the Navy would be nervous about someone like him. National Security Attorney Brad Moss told The Daily Beast:

A clearance holder who has a full-time job in a non-Governmental capacity is still bound by the rules and restrictions that come with holding a security clearance. Mr. Posobiec cannot ‘turn on’ and ‘turn off’ his obligation to the U.S. Government, even as a Reservist.”

Posobiec is a lieutenant junior grade, serving in the Joint Reserve Intelligence Support Element. He seems to use his service to prove he’s not an extremist or a racist, or even intolerant of others’ views:

I am an American military veteran. I served this country by wearing the uniform overseas on multiple deployments.

If you are an extremist, if you are a racist, if you are someone who does not believe in tolerance in this country, you’re not allowed to serve in the military.”

Funny, they let him serve.

Keep in mind that this is the man who tweeted himself shouting to the audience at a Julius Caesar production, “You are all Goebbels, you are all Nazis like Joseph Goebbels.” That production portrayed Trump as Julius Caesar, and everyone calling for the production to be shut down willfully ignored the fact that they also portrayed both Obama and George W. Bush as Caesar. In short, that particular company portrays the current sitting president as Caesar, and it has nothing to do with Trump.

Posobiec also pushed the harmful and debunked “pizzagate” conspiracy, which claimed that Hillary Clinton and her staff, including her Campaign Chair John Podesta, were running a pedophile ring out of the basement of a pizza shop in Washington, D.C. That shop doesn’t even have a basement, but another extremist shot the place up in an attempt to rescue the child sex slaves he believed were there.

Then there was the conspiracy theory surrounding the death of Seth Rich, a DNC operative, who Hillary-haters believe was murdered for leaking damaging emails to Wikileaks. Police believe Rich was murdered in a botched robbery attempt, but Posobiec pushed that one, too.

He’s also the guy who tried to smear left-wing protesters by attending one and holding up a “Rape Melania” sign.

In other words, he’s an extremist. He considers himself a conservative Republican, but he’s an extremist. Perhaps the Navy feels he’s too dangerous to have a security clearance. Or perhaps he committed some violation that makes him ineligible to continue to hold his clearance.

While Posobiec disputes that his security clearance has actually been suspended, Commander Doug Gabos, a spokesman for the Navy Reserve Forces, confirmed that his clearance was, in fact, suspended.
