Trump Throws One More Insult At Puerto Rico While On His Way To The Devastated Island (VIDEO)

Donald Trump thinks recovery efforts are working out great in hurricane-devastated Puerto Rico even though FEMA has yet to authorize every disaster response tool it has at its disposal. Only 5 percent of the electrical grid has been repaired on the island, only 17 percent of cellphone towers are working, and more than half of residents don’t have running water, according to Vox. Amid a backlash of criticism over his lackluster response to the U.S. territory, Trump, who is on his way to the island, addressed the media to say that Puerto Rico needs to offer “more help” at a local level.

“Well, I think she’s come back a long way,” he said of the decimated island. “I think it’s now no longer acknowledged what a great job we’ve done. Texas and Florida we get an A plus.”

“I think we’ve done just as good in Puerto Rico and it’s a much tougher situation,” he continued to say after spending another vacation golfing at his luxury golf course in New Jersey with every creature comfort at his disposal while U.S. citizens are suffering.

“Now the roads are cleared,” he said, even though in remote towns the roads remain impassable. “Communications starting to come back. We need their truck drivers. Their drivers have to start driving trucks. We have to do that.”

“At a local level, they have to give us more help. I will tell you the first responders, the military, FEMA, they have done an incredible job in Puerto Rico,” he continued. “And whether it’s her or anybody else, they’re all starting to say it. I appreciate very much the governor and his comments. He has said we have done an incredible job and that’s the truth,” he added while patting himself on the back. Heckuva job, Brownie.

After disaster struck the island, Trump lobbed insults at Puerto Rico in a series of jaw-dropping tweets, aimed at reminding the U.S. territory of its debt at a time of great need. The former reality show star has repeatedly bashed the mayor of San Juan, who was seen in pictures knee-deep in water on the streets trying to reach the city’s people with a megaphone in her hand. She pleaded for help so naturally, Trump insulted her repeatedly.

The hurricane hit Puerto Rico two weeks ago and finally Trump decides to visit the U.S. territory but he just had to insult the people there one more time.
