If there was ever a completely accurate way to finding out whether or not Trump was guilty of something, it should be measured by a number of lies and distractions he tries to create against his biggest threats.
One of Trump’s biggest targets, whenever he’s gotten himself into trouble, has always been former President Barack Obama. Earlier today, on Fox Business Network‘s “Mornings with Maria,” Trump attempted to trash Obama and make himself look like a hero instead of an egotistical PR wh*re for attacking Syria.
As Trump’s Russia scandal continues to get deeper, Trump felt it might be a good idea to throw Obama under the bus to distract Fox from focusing on the fact that Carter Page met with a Russian spy, making his scandal look even worse the before.
In speaking to Maria Bartiromo, Trump bragged about how his decision to strike a Syrian airbase with missiles was what Obama “should” have done years ago (despite that fact that Trump actually told Obama – several times – that he shouldn’t attack Syria). Trump said:
But when I see people using horrible, horrible chemical weapons – which they agreed not to use under the Obama administration, but they violated it.
“Hey look, what I did should have been done by the Obama administration long before I did it. And you would have had a much better — I think Syria would be a lot better off right now than it has been.”
There’s just one thing about Trump’s statement – Obama was not allowed to act without the approval of a GOP-controlled Congress. Trump, on the other hand, didn’t even think to seek permission and just did whatever the hell he wanted, like he always does.
As expected, Fox News didn’t bring up the fact that Trump’s statements were in major contradiction to what he’s said in the past. You can watch the horrendous, desperate interview below:
