Trump Just Accidentally Confirmed He’s Under Investigation For Obstruction And Twitter LOVES It (TWEETS)

After reports surfaced that Donald Trump is, indeed, under investigation for obstruction of justice, Comrade Orange hopped on Twitter to complain about it — and accidentally confirmed that the stories are true.

Special counsel Robert Mueller — the guy until his team talked him out of it — was, according to numerous reports, actually investigating The Donald for obstruction of justice. The notes that while former FBI Director James Comey, whom Trump fired directly after he requested additional resources for the Russia probe, assured The Donald that he was not under investigation personally, “that changed shortly after Comey’s firing”:

Five people briefed on the interview requests, speaking on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly, said that Daniel Coats, the current director of national intelligence, Mike Rogers, head of the National Security Agency, and Rogers’s recently departed deputy, Richard Ledgett, agreed to be interviewed by Mueller’s investigators as early as this week. The investigation has been cloaked in secrecy, and it is unclear how many others have been questioned by the FBI.

That sounds bad, doesn’t it? Trump agrees. On Thursday he whined that “They made up a phony collusion with the Russians story, found zero proof, so now they go for obstruction of justice on the phony story” — accidentally confirming that he is being investigated. Personally. For obstruction. Like Nixon.

“Nice,” he said. The best part is that he found out on his birthday.

Naturally, Americans found this bit of accidental honesty refreshing:

While most of us are loving this, the Nazis are freaking out, man:

Trump is going down — if not through the Russia investigation, then because he tried to obstruct it by firing anyone who even looked like they were doing their jobs.

Our long national embarrassment may soon be over. As Trump says, “Nice.”
