Trump Goes Mental On Mitch McConnell, Trashes Republicans Over Health Care Fails (TWEET)

The Republican Party is currently crashing and burning thanks to Donald Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), as the two man babies continue to blame each other for the GOP’s failures to enforce their agenda successfully.

Yesterday, McConnell pretty much blamed all of the Republican Party’s failures on Trump because the inexperienced POTUS expected things to move faster than the democratic process allowed. McConnell said:

Our new president, of course, has not been in this line of work before. And I think he had excessive expectations about how quickly things happen in the democratic process.”

In response, Trump is firing back and taking McConnell to task for not being able to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act successfully. Trump tweeted:

Senator Mitch McConnell said I had ‘excessive expectations,’ but I don’t think so. After 7 years of hearing Repeal & Replace, why not done?”

This might be the first time in his presidency that Trump actually made a good point. While McConnell is absolutely right that Trump’s inexperience has definitely been a challenge and obstacle to work around, the Republican Party complained about Obamacare for seven years without actually thinking about how they would come up with something better – and when they had their chance, they failed miserably. This failed repeal and replace crusade that the GOP put forth has been one of the most embarrassing legislation efforts in modern history, and they’ve destroyed the reputation of the party over it.

The health care fail is the fault of both Trump AND the Republican Party, but they’re going to keep blaming each other instead of taking responsibility and moving forward. This definitely signals that the GOP is becoming more fragmented by the day, and it’s heading toward an inevitable implosion. If the GOP thought it would thrive under Trump, it’s getting a very rude awakening.
